ARMED ROBBERY

April 26th

About 10:50 PM on April 26th, a woman entered a business on the 7000 block of South Durango Dr. She demanded money and when the clerk didn’t respond, she displayed a firearm. She left with an undisclosed amount of money. She is described as around 5’5” tall, 120 pounds and reddish blonde hair. She was wearing a gray baseball cap, black sweater and carrying a purple bag.

ARMED ROBBERY

March 8th

Two people robbed a convenience store on Tropicana Avenue near Decatur Boulevard. Police said two suspects used a firearm and demanded money from the business’ cash register. The suspect in the attached photos is described by police as a black female adult between the ages of 20 and 25. She is about 5’8″ tall and has tattoos on her hands, chest, and back.

ARMED ROBBERY

December 31st

A woman walked into a business about 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 31 on the 6300 block of West Charleston Boulevard, near South Torrey Pines Drive, and demanded money from an employee at gunpoint. The employee complied, and she escaped with cash. Police described the woman as about 35 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and between 150 and 160 pounds. She wore her black hair in a bun and had on a Tommy Hilfiger sweater, white pants and gray and white shoes.

MULTIPLE ROBBERIES

December 13th

Police are looking for 5 suspects involved in 2 violent robberies on the east side of town.One woman was described to be in her late 20s to early 30s with a heavy build. She was last seen wearing a black-and-white sweatshirt, multicolored pajama pants and white shoes. Another woman, also described as being in her late 20s to early 30s, was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes. The last female suspect was believed to be between the ages of 17 and 20 with a thin build and wearing a blue hoodie, gray sweatpants and black shoes. One male suspect was described to be in his late 20s to early 30s with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, gray sweatpants and black shoes. The other male suspect was believed to be between the ages of 17 and 20 with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a green Vans sweatshirt, gray shorts and black shoes.
Officers were also looking for the suspects’ vehicle, a newer-model Dodge four-door sedan that’s either black or blue.

October 15th

On October 15th, 2018, at approximately 5:00 a.m., a male suspect entered a Las Vegas gas station in the 5600 block of Mountain Vista. The male suspect entered the business and committed an armed robbery with a firearm.
Suspect: Male, late teens to early 20’s, 5’10”-5’11,” medium build, dark framed prescription glasses, light grey hooded sweatshirt and black pants. Armed with a handgun.

ARMED ROBBERY

October 7th

Las Vegas police are searching for two people in connection with a robbery early Sunday morning at a central valley gas station. About 12:30 a.m. a man wearing a costume mask and a woman in sunglasses walked into a Sinclair gas station at 220 E. Warm Springs Road, near Gillespie Street. One of them pointed a gun at a cashier and demanded money from the register. They are described as a male between 5’5” and 5’7” with a thin build. He was wearing a Halloween mask with a red sweatshirt and green shorts. The female was about the same height and build wearing a grey sweatshirt, jeans and sunglasses.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY

September 10th

On 9/10/18 at around 3:00 PM, the suspect entered the store for a hot dog and drink. He then went behind the counter and attempted to take the safe. The clerk had words with him as he was trying to move the safe. Nothing ended up being taken. The suspect is a black male adult wearing light colored shorts and a dark hoodie.

ARMED ROBBERY

August 19th

A robbery occurred Sunday around 11:45 PM at a convenience store located at the 1400 block of W. Owens.
Two suspects were involved in the robbery. Suspect #1 entered the business and suspect #2 waited outside the front doors. Suspect #1 entered the business and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. Both suspects took off on foot in unknown directions.

Suspect #1: BMA, 6’1”, thin build, wearing “NY Yankees” hat, grey shirt, black pants, armed with a semi-auto handgun.

Suspect #2: BMA, 6’4”, thin build, wearing grey and blue hat, black shirt and black pants.

ARMED ROBBERY

August 5th

Police are looking for two men that robbed a convenience store at gunpoint on Sunday morning. They walked in, showed the clerk a handgun and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.

One of the robbers is between 40-50 years old and about 5-foot-9. He wore a green shirt with a white graphic and jean shorts during the robbery. The other man is between 20-30 years old and also about 5-foot-9. He was last seen wearing white sweater and sweatpants with a gray baseball cap.

From May 31st, 2018 through June 7th, 2018, several armed robberies occurred to businesses in the Las Vegas valley. The same suspect is responsible for each robbery. During each robbery, the suspect enters the business and approaches the employee at the register. The suspect then presents a firearm and demands money from the employee. The suspect takes the money and flees from the business.
Suspect: Hispanic male, mid-20’s, 5’7″-5’10” tall, medium build, wearing different clothing in each robbery.

ARMED C-STORE ROBBERIES

March 26th and March 27th

Two central valley 7-Eleven stores robbed at gunpoint Monday evening 3/26 and early Tuesday morning 3/27. The robberies occurred near Pennwood Avenue and Arville as well as Rue 13 and Maryland Parkway. According to police a man wearing a black hoodie and black shorts, believed to be in his early 20’s about 5’7” tall with a husky build entered the store with a firearm and demanded money from the clerk. Nobody was injured and police believe the man lives in the area.

ARMED C-STORE ROBBERY

June 21st in the 500 block of South Decatur Boulevard

The investigation, initiated by the Bolden Area Command Patrol Investigations Section, indicated that the male entered the store and selected a product. Once at the checkout, the suspect pulled out a black small frame handgun from his left pocket and demanded money from the register. After committing the robbery he fled from the business westbound on Alta Drive.

The man is described as a white male adult wearing a red shirt, grey sweatpants and black shoes. He is approximately 40 years of age, standing 5’6” tall and weighing about 160 pounds. The suspect has a distinct tattoo on his left forearm.

April 24th at 7-Eleven on 1400 W. Horizon Ridge Pkwy

The suspect entered the convenience store and pointed a handgun at the clerk while demanding money from the register. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and left the business on foot. Suspects robbed the clerk at gunpoint for a small amount of cash and fled the scene in a light colored 4 door sedan. First suspect is described as a black male adult, about 25 years of age, 6’0”-6’3”, 180-200 pounds. Second suspect is described as a black male adult 20-25 years of age, 5’10”-6’0”, thin build.

ARMED ROBBERY

January 1, 2017

North Las Vegas armed robbery at Craig and Lamb. Robbery occurred New Year’s day at about 3 p.m. According to police, two men entered the business; one pointed a short-barreled shotgun at the clerk and demanded money from the cash register. The men stole about $190 in cash before fleeing the scene. No one was injured. The first man is described as a 20-year-old black man, about 5-foot-10 and weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, a baseball hat with an orange brim and clear glasses. The second man is described as a 20-year-old Hispanic male, about 5-foot-7 and weighing 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black beanie, dark sunglasses and a black short-sleeve shirt over a black long-sleeve shirt.

ROBBERY

November 8th – November 12th

Multiple armed robberies in the Southeast Valley. Metropolitan Police Department identified Lamar Griffin as the suspected robber. Police say they suspect Griffin of committing six armed convenience store robberies between Nov. 8 and Nov. 12. Griffin is wanted for six counts of robbery with a deadly weapon and six counts of burglary with a deadly weapon. He is described as a black man, 6 feet 1 inches tall and approximately 140 pounds. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

On Saturday, October 29th, 2016 at about 10:20 p.m. a robbery occurred at a convenience store in the area of Flamingo Road and El Capitan Way, Las Vegas NV. The robber demanded money from the clerk and simulated that he had a firearm. The clerk complied and the suspect fled with the cash. The suspect is described as white adult male wearing eyeglasses, 5’07” and thin build. He was last seen wearing a blue and red plaid shirt and blue jeans.

September 7th

The suspects are described as:Suspect #1 – Hispanic male, 20 years old, 5’05”, 150 lbs, last seen wearing – a green skull type mask, white jersey shirt with the #40 on it, khaki shorts, white shoes, and was armed with a small black semi-automatic handgun .Suspect #2 – White male, 20 years old, 5’07”, 170 lbs, brown hair, last seen wearing – a blue bandana mask, black t-shirt, dark blue jean shorts, black shoes with white trim, and was armed with a medium size black semiautomatic handgun.Suspect #3 – Black male, 20 years old, 6’03, 200 lbs, black hair, last seen wearing – a blue bandana mask, black t-shirt, gray sweat pants, black shoes, and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.Two armed robbery suspects in Halloween masks attempted a string of robberies, firing a shot during one, early Wednesday morning in the southwest valley. The two masked robbers targeted four businesses between 3 and 4 am: a Terrible Herbst convenience store at 9380 W. Tropicana Ave., Sicily’s Pizza at 3585 S. Durango Drive, U.S. Gas at 3675 S. Durango Drive and an ARCO AM/PM gas station at 1625 S. Decatur Blvd. In the first three cases the suspects demanded money from the clerks, however in most cases left without much money or property. At the AM/PM the suspects approached the clerk who was outside and demanded money. When the clerk fled, the suspects fired a shot at the clerk but did not hit them. The suspects were seen leaving in a light blue or silver four-door vehicle possibly driven by a third person. We will issue a follow-up alert once pictures are available.

TWO ARMED ROBBERIES

July – August

Two armed robberies to report. First one was at a 7-11 on the 500 block of East Sahara where the suspect entered the business and approached a clerk with weapon in hand. The suspect demanded money from the register and was able to flee prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of money. The incident was captured on video surveillance. The suspect is described as a black male adult in his 30’s, 5’7″- 5’9″ tall, thin build and last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black hooded sweatshirt and grey shorts. Another armed robbery occurred on the 4600 block of East Tropicana. The two men entered the business and each took a 12-pack of beer, running out of the store without paying. The store clerk confronted the two men in the parking lot. One suspect produced a black semi-automatic handgun and threatened to shoot the clerk. The second man also had a black semi-automatic handgun. The men left the scene in a black Chrysler 300 with large chrome wheels. Both men were Hispanic, each about 5-feet-10-inches tall. One suspect weighed about 170 pounds and was wearing a black T-shirt, gold chain, tan pants and red shoes. The second suspect weighed about 250 pounds and had a goatee. He was wearing a black T-shirt and black pants.

TWO CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERIES

July 25 & July 26th

Two convenience store robberies in two days! It is unclear of whether or not they are related, but in both cases the assailants displayed a handgun and in one case they fired a shot in the air.

  • The first robbery, Monday July 25th at approximately at 11:30p.m., an employee reported an armed robbery had occurred at the 7-11. The suspect had entered the store, took beer from the refrigerator, approached the counter and asked the clerk for cigarettes. When the employee turned around, the suspect pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the employee. The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money before officers arrived on scene.No one was injured during the incident.The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall, approximately 140 to 160 pounds.   • The second robbery, Tuesday July 26th at approximately 10:20 p.m. at the Sinclair at 3280 S. The robbers are described as three Hispanic males in their late teens to early 20s.

THREE ARMED ROBBERIES

Since July 12th

Two of the robberies are related and the third is unknown if it is related or not.

The suspects confronted employees and used handguns to steal money and merchandise from a business located in the 5000 block of East Tropicana Avenue and another in the 4100 block of South Eastern Avenue, police said. No one was injured during the two incidents and both were captured on video surveillance.Police described the first suspect as a Hispanic man, about 18 to 20 years old, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and two blue bandanas over his face.Police described the second suspect as a white man, about 18 to 20 years old, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with burgundy sleeves, white shorts and two blue bandanas over his face.

June 23rd

Following a violent series of convenience store robberies, 6 individuals are now in custody. In one of the robberies, a 7-11 clerk was shot, and just $26 was stolen. Tips from the public helped our detectives solve this case. We salute everyone who assisted in getting these young thugs behind bars.Here are the details from the official press release:

 

Today, Captain David O’Leary spoke to members of the media about a robbery series that occurred between the dates of March 28, 2016 and June 06, 2016. The series included nine armed robbery events to local convenience stores across the valley, including a robbery during which a clerk was shot.As a result of a lengthy investigation by the Central Robbery Section, three adults and three juveniles were arrested for numerous violent felony crimes. During the course of the investigation, five search warrants were executed.The three adults arrested in these cases are 19 year-old Kim Zenteno, 18 year-old Andrew Perez and 20 year-old Jacqueline Zambrano (seen in the photo). They were transported to the Clark County Detention Center where they face the following charges:Attempt Murder with a Deadly WeaponRobbery with a Deadly WeaponBurglary with a Deadly WeaponConspiracy to Commit RobberyConspiracy to Commit Attempt MurderTwo of the three juveniles arrested were 17 years of age; and the third juvenile who shot the clerk was 15 years old.

June 14th

In response to the horrific hate/terror attack in Orlando, LVMPD forces have responded with increased patrols, including visits to local nightclubs, places of worship, special events venues and other locations where large groups of people gather. There is no known connection between the Orlando attacker and Las Vegas, but LVMPD is urging vigilance nonetheless. ANOTHER ROBBERY

June 8th

7-Eleven on North Durango near Farm Rd. Suspect came in with a mask and crow bar and broke through a slot machine. The clerk approached and was told to back off with threat of physical force. Nobody was injured, however there is a strong likelihood of this happening again. Robbery occurred around 3:30 a.m. this morning. Suspect is a white or Latino male about 6’2” with medium to large build. This robbery does not appear to be related to the robberies that took place this past weekend.

MULTIPLE ARMED ROBBERIES OVER THE WEEKEND

June 3rd – June 6th

  • Dylan’s Sports Pub located at 40 N. Nellis and Charleston was robbed early Friday morning June 3rd, suspect is believed to be a black male wearing a hoodie. Pictures will be provided when available.
  • Speedee Mart at East Tropicana and McCleod Dr. on Saturday at 2 a.m.
  • Terrible’s at South Nellis Bl. and East Twain Ave. on Sunday at 1:45 a.m.
  • 7-Eleven on Sahara and Lamb Blvd. was robbed and the clerk was shot around 2 a.m. Sunday morning June 5th. The suspects are still at large.Click here to see photos of the suspects.
  • Three other C-stores were robbed in succession this morning June 6th between 1:20 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. The three stores that were robbed were as follows: Rebel on Rainbow and Charleston at about 1:20 a.m., Circle K on Sahara and Nellis at about 3:05 a.m. and a 7-Eleven on Nellis and Gowan at around 4:15 a.m.. BURGLARIES

April 7th, April 15th, May 1st and May 2nd

There has been a recent series of attempted burglaries at various neighborhood gaming locations in the Las Vegas valley. One of the thieves is a bald, dark skinned male in his 20s or 30s, last seen with a pencil mustache and goatee. The other suspect is a white or Latina woman, currently with dark brown or black hair.They have been vandalizing slot machines in an attempt to break through the locking mechanisms on the doors and access the cash can. The woman typically acts as a look-out or attempts to distract employees while the male breaks into the game. The woman normally carries a large purse, backpack or bag.Please encourage staff to monitor the gaming area on a regular basis, being on the lookout for suspicious activity or anyone sitting at a game without playing for an extended period of time.It is not known if these suspects are armed or dangerous, so please use caution and call the appropriate authorities if you suspect foul play.
